Stara Srbija Slika (Old Serbian Photos)

I have taken great pleasure in looking at old family slike (photos). Here are a few of my favorite family photos that span 4 generations. I wish I could ask all the questions I have about them, but until I can speak the language, I am limited greatly. Please enjoy these pieces of my family history.

I hope you enjoy the stories these pictures tell as much as I love looking at them.

today it begins

Yesterday was my last day at work.
Today begin the preparations for my trip to Seattle this weekend and also for the long winter far far away. I am looking forward to both. But, I am not going to lie, I am concerned about all I must take care of before I go. Someone to look after our place, no pipes freezing, the mail, and more I cannot remember at this moment.

This morning while I mulled over what needed to be done, drinking my coffee on the porch, I saw this cute little birdie. He flew off, just after I snapped the pic with my camera phone. Wish it was clearer, but "beggars can't be chooser"s.

I am going to miss this home, my neighbors, friends.

On the other hand I miss my friends and family in Serbia. This is the life of a vagabond, always missing one place or another. never completely tied down. And to be honest. I love that I am not tied to one place. I would be miserable if I were.
I am happy to be me. (I should get this tattooed somewhere on my body, so that when I get homesick next month, I will remember what I said. lol)
Wishing you a beautiful day,
:)
