Art and Graffitti in Thesaloniki

The Church of Saint Demitri has some lovely art all over the walls and beautiful wood carvings all throughout the church. No matter where you are in the building, there is something beautiful nearby.

Even the basement of the church was beautifully created.

Some comical art on the streets. No doubt these windy streets have hidden some of this in real life.

In the top right corner it says, "peace".
Sometimes is it just unattractive scribbling and other times...
A bit of fun, lighthearted work on the side of a dilapidated building.
No matter what the work or the reason for it. Art covers the earth catching eyes globally.

The script beside this pig on a motorcycle reads: Pigs on Speed.I do like this one, but wonder about the author.
The artwork on this dumpster in Stavros is completely utilitarian. It displays a pointed message. If you don't want the place to be dirty, don't litter and or clean it up! Everyone should take heed!

This piece of work was left inside the WWI tomb for a myriad of Serbian Soldiers. I love it.

More to come soon! Enjoy the art around you.
